The second of four Atlanteans bought by King Alfred in 1967, all of which carried the new livery of leaf green and cream. 590 continued working in the Winchester area after being taken over by Hants and Dorset. In 1979 it was transferred to Bristol Omnibus and converted for open top use at Weston-super-Mare and Bath. It saw subsequent service with Gosport based People’s Provincial in 1979 and then Leisurelink in Cardiff from 1991.
Returning to FoKAB in 1998, 590 is always a favourite at summer events. In 2009 the upper deck floor was completely replaced and the bus repainted in its original King Alfred livery.
